Xiangqi / Chinese Chess, traditional wooden game

Xiangqi is a strategy board game for two players believed to be the most played game in the world. It is in the same family of games as Western chess, chaturanga, shogi, and Indian chess. This strategy game is a battle between two armies, with the primary object being to checkmate the enemy's general. The game is played on the intersections of the grid. The board is distinctive in design with a river section along the centre and a castle area in each side.
